Développer une marque collective européenne de coton qui contribuera à l’identification du coton produit en Europe EUCOTTON TM Mettre en œuvre une stratégie de marque et de promotion qui visera à communiquer ses valeurs identitaires aux fabricants, aux détaillants et aux consommateurs de manière significative, valeurs liées à sa qualité inhérente (tangible) reconnue par la filature et sa qualité intangible en termes de mode de production responsable respectant des normes environnementales et sociales élevées. Qualité inhérente du coton européen Il convient de mentionner qu’en ce qui concerne sa qualité intrinsèque, le coton européen : - Jouit d’un très bon rendement en filature tout en se mélangeant très bien avec d’autres origines. - Le coton grec et espagnol sont tous deux cueillis à la machine avec un bon rapport d’uniformité, un petit indice de fibres courtes, une bonne longueur et résistance et de bons indices Micronaire. - Ils sont perçus comme étant presque sans contamination, et même sans contamination du tout, puisque le processus, depuis la toute première étape des semailles jusqu’à la récolte, l’égrenage, le conditionnement et le stockage, est hautement est hautement mécanisé. - Par ailleurs, la Grèce et l’Espagne bénéficient tous deux d’une logistique fiable, ce qui garantit des livraisons rapides vers toutes les destinations.
